There have been 11 huge drops this week, and some retailers (at the time of writing) still have inventory on hand. While it’s a bit too late to buy one for Christmas now – there’s literally less than 12 hours left, you can still get one in January.

Anyway, we hope you all have a wonderful Christmas. Thank you to everyone who has been following the liveblog over the past few months and a big thank you to those who took the time to message us about your successes. You make inventory tracking worth it!

If you want a literally perfect TV for your PS5, Sony has announced a series of ‘Perfect for PS5’ TVs that will make games look very special.

The “Perfect for PS5” televisions are basically all Bravia XR models, including the A80J, A90J, X90J, X95J and Z9J.

When TVs get updated in January 2022, they will bring HDR auto tone mapping and auto low latency mode, perfect for gaming.

One more sleep, one more sleep until Christmas. Yeah, we can’t believe it either. But there’s something even more exciting than Christmas (for us here at IndyBest, anyway), and it’s Boxing Day sales, and some retailers have already started them early!

Right now, Game has the Disc Editing Console in stock, while Currys has a Digital Editing Pack available to order. But if you are confused about the differences between the two, don’t be.

The only difference between the two is that the PS5 disc edition has a disc player, unlike the digital edition. This means that the games must be downloaded on the digital edition, but it means that it is slightly thinner than the disc edition, but just as big and deep. The disc edition measures 390 x 104 x 260 mm, while the digital edition measures 390 x 92 x 260 mm.

The digital edition is also cheaper, with a suggested retail price of £ 359.99, compared to £ 449.99 for the disc edition. Otherwise, they work exactly the same.

The Xbox series X is much easier to buy if you want a last minute Christmas present. Several stores have stock available at this time. You can go to your local Smyths toy or game and grab one from the shelf.
